We can’t wait to join UDTJ at 100 Garrett Road in Upper Darby from 1:00 to 6:00 for the Pride festival! We will have a book related to LGBTQQIA+ themes for every child who visits our table. Come visit us and join in the fun!

June 2026 – Summer Reading Drive
Let’s get books for Lansdowne summer campers! AFA Agency (708 Pembroke Ave.) and CASSE (527 S. Wycombe Ave.) are dedicated to helping William Penn School District kids develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life. We are collecting and purchasing new books for their campers to take home and enjoy with their families!

July 25, 2026 – Christmas in July
We will be joining Harry’s Hands to Help and Heal for their Christmas in July event! Visit our table to find children’s books that your family can enjoy!

August 15, 2026 – Delco Helping Hands’ Family Fun Day
We are honored that Delco Helping Hands has invited us to join this fun community day! We’ll be at Prospect Park Square at 851–899 Tenth Ave in Prospect Park from 12 to 4 providing books to any children who would like them.

August 22, 2026 – Unity In Our Community
Delco Book Bank looks forward to joining this fun event on Highland Ave. in Wayne from 12:00 to 3:00! We will have lots of books for families to choose from and take home. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you for your help!

October 4, 2026 – Optimists Flea Market, Delaware County Community College
Delco Book Bank will be joining the flea market to offer free children’s books to any families who would like them!

November to December 2026 – Holiday Giving
Delco Book Bank looks forward to partnering again with local organizations who serve those in need. We will be providing new children’s books for as holiday gifts! Books will be selected based on the ages and interests reported by our partner organizations.

April 23, 2026 – Step by Step Learning Center
This morning, we brought books for each of the students at Step by Step Learning Center in Lansdowne and Step by Step Learning Center Drexel Hill. Thank you for caring for Delco kids!

April 7, 2026 – Walnut Street Elementary School
We visited Walnut Street Elementary School in Darby in
the William Penn School District today to
pass along some books. The books will be sent home with families. Thank you to the school staff for all the work you do!

March 29, 2026 – Parkside Fire Company No. 1
It was a pleasure joining our friends from Delco Books for a Brighter Start at the Parkside Fire Company No. 1 Breakfast with the Bunny today! We exchanged ideas about book distribution, sent kids away with armfuls of books, and high-fived the hard-working Easter Bunny. Thank you to our hosts at the fire department for all you do!

March 28, 2026 – Grands Stepping Up
It’s always a pleasure to work with the lovely people at Grands Stepping Up! We are so impressed with the work they do. We provided 485 new books for their Grand and Kinship Easter baskets and Birthday Club. A huge thank you to the DBB volunteers who joined us and made everything go smoothly!

March 26, 2026 – Children’s Resource Fair
We spent the evening with the staff of Rep. Gina H. Curry at their Children’s Resource Fair in Upper Darby. It was lovely to chat with community members and help kids find interesting books to take home!

March 21, 2026 – Drexel Hill Little League
We have stopped by Dermond Field in Drexel Hill to provide a stack of sports books for the little library by Drexel Hill Little League’s snack stand.

March 20, 2026 – Caring Heart Child Care Center
Today we met the nice folks at Caring Heart Child Care Center in Yeadon. We provided a book for each of their day care and after care students to take home!

March 12, 2026 – Covenant Nursery School
We visited Covenant Nursery School in Springfield on a rainy morning yesterday and provided books for their 4 and 5-year olds to take home! It was lovely to meet their friendly staff!

March 5, 2026 – Academy Park High School
At a staff member’s request, we dropped off 30 books today to Academy Park to be distributed to interested students. Happy reading!

February 26, 2026 – Rep. Joanna McClinton
Today we met staff members at Rep. Joanna McClinton’s office! We have provided books for her upcoming visits to Bell Avenue and Evans Elementary Schools in Yeadon. The students can choose books to take home.

Delco Book Bank was grateful to join Wayne Cares this evening! We distributed children’s books and provided additional books for their clients to enjoy in the upcoming weeks.

February 18, 2026 – Kids Kampus
Donor families, organizations, and businesses make it possible for Delco Book Bank to provide books for local families who need them! We were pleased to visit Kids Kampus Daycare in Clifton Heights today to give them a book for each of their students to take home.

February 9, 2026 – Lifewerks
We were pleased to bring 122 books to Lifewerks in Wallingford this afternoon and to meet their volunteers. They will distribute the books to their clients. It’s lovely to meet more of the people who make Delco great!

Making new friends at Delco Helping Hands this evening! We brought them 140 books to pass along to their clients. It’s wonderful to see families helping families!

January 22, 2026 – Building Blocks for Tots
Delco Book Bank was pleased to provide books to Building Blocks for Tots in Drexel Hill! Their students can take the books home to read with their families.

Delco Book Bank was honored to join Grands Stepping Up for their MLK Day distribution. We were glad to be able to provide books to our neighbors!

We are so happy to meet people doing great things in Delco!
We delivered 124 books today to AFA Agency in East Lansdowne so that the kids they serve can enjoy them with their families. Stay tuned–we are working on a partnership for helping kids keep reading this summer!

Holiday Book Drive 2025 has been a success! With the help of local families and businesses, Delco Book Bank has brought 571 books in five languages to Murphy’s Giving Market. Books have been distributed to families for the holidays!
